A new addition to our database is La Granja Biológica, an ovolacto vegetarian restaurant buffet open weekdays only for lunch.
Today sees the addition to Sincarne of a new discussions forum. Write about your favourite Barcelona Vegetarian Restaurant, discuss alternatives to meat or share tips on Barcelona and all it has to offer. Please note the forum is currently only available in English.
We are currently looking for people to write reviews of the establishments on our site. If you feel you would like to contribute, please contact us. Reviews need to be between 150 - 250 words and they must concentrate on the vegetarian aspects of the restaurant or shop. For examples of admitted work, please look at reviews for Foodball and Unicornius. Unfortunately, as this is a non-profit site, we are unable to offer financial retributions for submitted articles, however we will credit your work and place a link to your website.
Previous visitors will have noticed that the site has changed. We wanted to update the site with more information for Barcelona Vegetarians whilst at the same time, redefining what we are about. We hope you will agree that we have given the site an uplift, creating a fresher more vibrant site with more quality content for our visitors.
We aim to provide a standard for places to eat and buy vegetarian food in Barcelona. We will include a 'stamp' of approval for establishments that meet the standards required to be listed on Sincarne. These include a basic understanding of what it means to be a vegetarian and/or vegan, along with meeting certain guidelines regarding meals in the case of restaurants, cafés, etc and products for sale in the case of shops.
I started a blog which can be found at Barcelona Vegetarian Restaurant Blog, where you can find opinions on restaurants and vegetarian issues in Barcelona.
