For December 2008, our recommendation of the month is Himali - a cosy, relaxed restaurant in the depths of Gracia serving great Nepalese food. Be aware that this restaurant serves meat but has a wide selection of vegetarian dishes including a tasty tofu and vegetable curry served with rice and poppadums.

For those unsure of what to choose, a set vegetarian menu is served day and night that allows you to sample a variety of Nepalese spices and flavours at a very reasonable 13.50 euros, including a drink and dessert. The interior is warm, inviting and informal and you can’t miss the glass window mural that features Jordi Pujol with a bindi plastered on his forehead…
