Unicornius

Unicornious is on a street with a dozen typical Spanish restaurants, so it is easy to pass by with out realizing that a pleasant, well-priced vegetarian restaurant is inside, offering ample space between tables, classical music and no smoking. The lunch menu-del-dia, for 9 Euros, offers homemade soup, a trip to the salad bar which is better than many salad bars in Barcelona, then a rather unimpressive, but palatable, hot main course of your choice, followed by dessert options ranging from tasty homemade flan with raisins to prepackaged soy pudding. The various main dishes are colorful, plentiful and offer creations with seitan, eggplant, and cous cous. Vegan options are available, but not clearly indicated on the menu, so be sure to inquire with the friendly waiters. An a la carte menu is available too.
