Foodball Barcelona

When one walks by Foodball for the first time, it doesn't look like the macrobiotic cafeteria associated with the popular shoe brand Camper. Order from the counter that looks like a patisserie, then take your tray of rice balls stuffed with delicious concoctions such as tofu and seaweed, red beans and seitan or mushroom and swiss chard, to the dining arena. Diners casually sit on straw cushions atop large cement stairs that look out onto a wall with hundreds of local holistic flyers and a flat screen TV of relaxing video images like coy ponds and grazing donkeys. Fresh juices, soups-of-the-day and hemp beer complement the macrobiotic menu with 5 vegan foodball options. Besides having an inventive and delicious menu, Foodball is very affordable, it's immaculately clean and there is no smoking in the building. Hopefully they recycle the cardboard food containers.
